Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island was in the midst of constructing a new $78 million, 80,000-square-foot engineering building. This was Brown’s first use of integrated project delivery (IPD) using a project team with many different players, including Arden Engineering Constructors, HVAC specialists.

Brown needed an HVAC contractor with the technology to facilitate an IPD team consisting of seven different companies trying to design in 3D, coordinate and collaborate all at the same time.
Ensuring Arden had the right softward solutions that enabled the IPD team to deliver a cohesive solution on a fast-track schedule.
Trimble® SysQue® for Revit MEP with A360 platform and a centralized cloud model, letting users design in Revit with real-world, manufacturing-specific content that’s ready for fabrication.

“With SysQue and A360, we’re working with live models and live information. When things change, the team sees those changes in minutes. That’s made a huge difference on this project.”
-William Cameron, BIM Manager, Arden Engineering Constructors

Arden’s 3D engineering, fabrication and collaboration capabilities were key in being hired for the new university engineering building. The building project is on track for on-time completion in fall 2017. Since this project, Arden has won three more Brown University projects.
