Construction Industry Veteran, Jon Huizenga, Joins Trimble’s Digital Supply Chain Initiative

Construction industry veteran, Jon Huizenga, is the ideal candidate to help Trimble drive their connected, data-powered digital supply chain initiative for MEP contractors and their distributors.

After 29 years with distribution giant, Graybar, and 18 of those serving the contractor-facing side of the business in the corporate and strategic accounts group that included liaising with NECA and the Electrical Training Alliance, Jon will help Trimble lead their vast network of distributor and contractor customers in building a truly connected digital supply chain through the new procurement platform on their industry-leading Supplier Xchange service.

“Jon’s previous experience in inventory and submittal management, eCommerce, manufacturer term negotiations and leading the day-to-day operations of Supplier Xchange’s pricing service, makes him the ideal connective tissue between critical supply chain stakeholders to help take their operations to the next level––leaving time-consuming manual pricing and order management behind and adopting new digital workflows that simplify and streamline the procurement process.

His expertise brings a keen understanding of stakeholder needs on multiple fronts that will help build trust and drive adoption of digital supply chain services at Trimble,” says Tod Moore, Business Development Leader of Trimble’s content services. “I worked with Jon for 15 years at Trade Service when we first started ideating together about a fully-connected digital supply chain. I’m over the moon that he’s back on my team to help us bring this reality to the market. Our customers––contractors, manufacturers and distributors alike are ready to take the next steps with us and I know he will be an invaluable asset in the process.”

Jon, like many others in the industry who understand the trials and sentiments of MEP suppliers and contractors has been waiting for a solution like this for over a decade, and is energized that it is here, “Trimble is uniquely positioned to make progress on this initiative. Before we had data but no connected systems. Now we have both––and the data is much more accessible through cloud-service technologies,” said Huizenga. “I’m looking forward to being a part of closing the loop and finally building the ecosystem.”
