These release notes describe the features and enhancements that are new in version 4.4 of Trimble Field Link. For further support information, click here.

New features and changes

Map Screen

  • A scale bar is now available for your reference on the Map screen which can be turned on/off from the map options

  • Robotic Instrument users now have the option to rotate the map based on their travel direction, which can be turned on/off from the map options

Measure Menu

  • When the ‘measure button’ appears in the toast (pop up) message the user now has the option to press the physical ‘OK’ button on the tablet

  • Perspective View now displays the prism pole and instruments location in relation to how the user is moving around the jobsite

  • Layout to a sloping plane has been added

  • Layout a three point plane has been added

Device Menu

  • While connected to an RPT600 layout station, selecting the "Reflective Foil" target type now enables Autolock and Target Search abilities


  • IFC File Imports have been enhanced for a better user experience

  • CSV files can now import and export ‘Layer’ info

  • 2018 DWG file format is now supported

  • You now have the ability to merge TFL files


  • Linework created in TFL is now treated like linework created from BIM
