  • These two city blocks are at the heart of Salt Lake City’s downtown rising. And there are millions of square feet of sub-grade structure and utilities that must tie in with the multiple towers and retail space above grade. Okland and Jacobsen Construction was challenged with a design that only existed in 2D. We assisted the team in creating a series of 3D models for MEP coordination and field installation planning. This effort resulted in a measured savings of $2.5 million on the project.

  • The Mega Data Center in South Jordan, Utah brought together design teams using Tekla, ArchiCAD, Revit Architecture/MEP/Structure, CAD-Mech, CAD-Duct, Hydra-CAD, AutoCAD MEP, Vela Systems and Navisworks. We were engaged to assist with intense MEP modeling and coordination meetings to keep the $300 million facility on track.

  • We worked with a team of 3D detailers and MEP coordinators to meet an aggressive schedule. Services included HVAC modeling, coordination and shop drawings.

  • We provided mechanical piping and plumbing 3D modeling, coordination and shop drawings and participated in weekly coordination meetings.

  • This project included drainage, waste and vent, plumbing, med gas and duct modeling and coordination. Steel framing (kickers, headers, king studs, soffits) modeling and coordination were all part of our scope of BIM services.

  • During this project we assisted the facility owners as well as the engineering and tool install teams to begin moving 3D design development earlier in all processes. This involved highly detailed systems and families, coordination, contractor installation team review and shop drawing deliverables.

  • We provided all HVAC modeling, coordination and shop drawings for the complete renovation project of the new Zappos corporate headquarters.

  • For this project we  worked as part of a massive 3D MEP coordination team involving all major trades on the $2 billion, highly classified U.S. government project. Controls, electrical conduit routing, clash resolution and quantity take off work were all part of our scope of services.

  • We provided custom 3D modeling and coordination of electrical components needed for MEP overhead coordination.

  • A set of design team drawings in 2D that needed to be converted and coordinated in 3D proved to be a large undertaking by J&S Mechanical. Our team was brought on board to assist with the process and handle a large portion of the MEP coordination.

  • Western States Mechanical put their best foot forward by utilizing 3D modeling to troubleshoot tight and complex areas for the new library on Snow College’s campus. The process worked so well that the electrical and fire sprinkler teams also joined the effort.

    The result: A measured ROI of 10x on the project, hands down saving WSM and the owner a great deal of money.

  • Our services for this project included mechanical coordination, clash detection and shop drawings.

  • A detailed subcontractor model was needed for DPR and their installers to use during MEP coordination, design review and subsequent model and design changes. The team delivered on time and on budget, even with a very aggressive schedule.

  • The process workflow for excellent Lidar Scan-to-BIM services is very tricky and few know how to get it done right. Our team was able to quickly glean the proper data from point clouds, model critical components and deliver the proper file format to the client, all with in-house talent.

  • Multiple trade disciplines were needed to convert 2D drawings into acceptable 3D file formats to conform to Skanska’s BIM requirement. We were engaged to handle this scope of work remotely for multiple subcontractors.

  • Early development of detailed concrete models were needed by DPR to review and carefully plan the sequence of cast in place and forming methods for this high-profile and massive project. We were used to provide these models and sequencing files.
