SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 22, 2016—Trimble (NASDAQ:TRMB) announced today that it will distribute EastCoast CAD/CAM software solutions. The addition of EastCoast’s software diversifies Trimble’s portfolio of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) solutions for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), HVAC and sheet metal contractors and engineers.
Trimble’s MEP portfolio now includes compatibility with AutoCAD® MEP and Revit® MEP with the addition of the EastCoast’s software solutions. EastCoast CAD/CAM provides software, which include:
- EC-CAD: Comprehensive HVAC, plumbing and piping detailing tool that works inside of the AutoCAD MEP platform.
- EC-DuctMaker: Specification-driven CAM software that streamlines fabrication and reduces sheet metal waste while efficiently producing sheet metal components.
- EastCoast MEP Design to Fabrication: Automation software to apply manufacturer piping and ductwork data to Revit MEP or AutoCAD MEP engineered drawings.
